Alkyd floor enamel PP-266 is intended for coating of previously coated or prepared non-coated wooden floors and other wooden and concrete surfaces located indoors.
The surface shall be dry (max. humidity 20%), thoroughly cleaned of dirt, grease, dust, blue stain and rot.
Old loose coatings on the surface (paint or wood-protective product) shall be removed mechanically (a scraper, a wire brush), thermally (a hot air fan, infrared radiation) or chemically (paint removing solutions).
Methods of cleaning that can damage wood shall be avoided (for example with cleanin blower).
Holes, existing on the surface, cracks or uneven areas shall be corrected with Putty for wooden and mineral surface TM "Farbex".
Plastered surface shall be polished with fine-grained sandpaper till the surface is smooth. The abrasive dust shall be removed.
Previously treated wooden surfaces do not need any undercoating.
Previoulsy non-treated wooden surfaces shall be undercoated with alkyd woodprotective primer TM "Delfi". Make sure that the surface is clean and dry before applying of primer.
Previously non-treated concrete surfaces shall be undercoated with the solution of enamel and white-spirit in 1:1 rate.
The enamel shall be thoroughly mixed till homogenious condition. The enamel is ready to use. Dilute enamel till working viscosity with white spirit, solvent, their solution or Thinner TM "DekART" if necessary. It is recommended to use product of one batch applying the finishing layer on the surface to avoide deviation in color shades. If you use product of different batches it is necessary to mix them. The enamel shall be applied evenly with a brush, a roller or a spraying gun in 1-2 thin layers. Each next layer shall be applied in 24 hours. Do not apply the enamel on the surface with a thick layer!
Working tools shall be cleaned with a solvent or white spirit and after that if necessary with warm water and detergents.
When calculating the area to be painted, you need to subtract the area that will not be painted. (windows, doors, etc.)
Paint consumption may vary depending on dilution and uniformity of application of the paint.
