Sphere of application
Alkyd enamel PP-115P is intended for coating of previously undercoated metal, wooden and mineral surfaces (window frames, window ceilings, doors, metal and wooden fences) indoors and outdoors.

1. Surface preparation
Metal surfaces:
Clean new surfaces from dirt, dust and degreased.
Previously coated, old surfaces shall be removed from old loose and weak layers of paint coatings till hard base surface in mechanical (a scraper, a wire brush), thermal (hot air fan, infrared radiation), or chemical (paint removal solutions) way. Clean thoroughly of corrosion with a wire brush or sandpaper. For better adhesion with hard layers of alkyd enamels or oily paint, treat the surface with sandpaper and degreased.
Wooden surfaces:
Clean new surfaces from dirt, dust.
Previously coated, old surfaces shall be removed from old loose and weak layers of paint coatings till hard base surface in mechanical(a scraper, a wire brush), thermal (hot air fan, infrared radiation), or chemical way (paint removal solutions). Do not clean the surface by means which can damage the wood (for example with sanding gear). Defected surfaces (holes, rends, cracks) shall be filled with Putty for wood ТМ Farbex. Polish up the surface till smooth cover and remove the dust.
2. Priming
Metal surfaces shall be primed with Primer GF-021 TM DekArt.
Wooden surfaces shall be undercoated with alkyd wood protective primer TM Delfi. Make sure that the wooden surface is clean and completely dry before applying the primer.
The surfaces, which were not previously undercoated with a mix of primer-enamel and solvent in ratio of 1:1.
3. Application
The enamel shall be thoroughly stirred till homogeneous conditions. Dilute enamel with solvent till working viscosity, if necessary. It is recommended to use the product of one batch applying the finishing layer on the surface to avoid deviation in color shades. If you use products of different batches it is necessary to mix them.
AN ADVICE: The enamel shall be applied in 1-2 thin layers, instead of one thick. Each next layer shall be applied in 24 hours. It is recommended to apply a coat of alkyd varnish TМ "Delfi" to prolong life period of the coating. Application is performed at the temperature from + 10°С till + 35 °С and relative air humidity no more than 80%. After the coating is applied it shall not be affected by atmospheric precipitation before finishing coating for 24 hours. The final hardening of the surface and the acquisition of its properties occurs 14 days after the coating.
4. Tool cleaning
Clean tools with a solvent and then with warm water with detergents if necessary.
