It is intended for the protective coating of metal and wooden surfaces before the application of alkyd enamels. It significantly lessens the application rate of the enamel. It allows using the primer as a single coat for temporary protection against corrosion during a period of interoperation storage.
The surface shall be dry and thoroughly cleaned of dust, dirt, and grease.
Old loose coatings on the surface (paint or wood-protective product) shall be removed mechanically (a scraper, a wire brush), thermally (a hot-air dryer, infrared radiation) or chemically (paint removing products).
Metal surfaces shall be thoroughly cleaned of corrosion with a wire brush, sandpaper. You can use chemical solutions for corrosion removing before cleaning mechanically to achieve better results.
Holes, existing on the surface, cracks or uneven areas shall be corrected with Putty for wooden and mineral surface TM "Farbex". Plastered surface shall be sandpapered till the surface is smooth. The abrasive dust shall be removed.
Stir thoroughly the primer before use.
The primer is ready to use.
Dilute with white spirit, a solvent, their solution till working viscosity.
Apply with a brush, a roller, a spraying gun or dipping method.
Quantity of layers: if the primer is to be used as an intermediate layer, with subsequent enamel painting, apply 1 thin primer layer; if used as a standalone coating, apply 2 thin coats of primer.
The drying period of one layer of the primer (23 ° C; 50% RH) is 24 hours. Apply each next coat in 24 hours!
Working tools shall be cleaned with a solvent or white spirit and after that if necessary with warm water and detergents.
When calculating the area to be painted, you need to subtract the area that will not be painted. (windows, doors, etc.)
Paint consumption may vary depending on dilution and uniformity of application of the paint.
