When you use pigment, follow the directions and recommendations for the paint product, which is meant to be tinted (tinting intention, pigment quantity, and others).
Do not use pigment concentrate as a separate coating!
Stir thoroughly before use. Add slowly and thoroughly mix with the paint product manually or with a mixer.
We recommend using the product of the same batch (the paint and the colorant) for coating the surfaces to avoid differences in color shades. Use the product of the same batch for the surfaces that join each other. In case you use the product of different batches, it is necessary to mix them.
To determine the required color of the tinted paint product, we recommend mixing the pigment concentrate with the paint in a smaller quantity for a trial coating and drying on the wall or a “trial stand”. Carry out possible correction of received color by adding an appropriate quantity of the pigment concentrate or the paint product. Make the final ratio determination before tinting, and then tint enough paint for the whole surface.
It is necessary to make a trial coating on a small area of the surface to check if the tinting corresponds to the chosen color.
We do not recommend diluting the paint product for the final coat.
After tinting deviation in technical data for the paint product is possible.
A hint: when you choose the color, take into account the lighting in the premises and location of façade elements according to the sun and their texture. Warm and cold light give different color determinations of the same color. Elements in shadow, inclined surfaces, elements with different roughness, duration of a light day period will provide different acceptance of the same color.
Approximate maximal dozing (find the precise quantity in the technical data sheet for the definite paint product):
- for the paint for walls and ceilings with 2 – 5 class of resistance to wet abrasion – up to 1% (1bottle for 10 liters of the paint);
- for the interior paint with the 1st class of resistance to wet abrasion, façade paints – up to 10% (1 bottle for 1 liter of the paint).
- for the enamel – up to 6% (half a bottle for 0.75 liters of the enamel);
- for varnishes, wood protectants – up to 6% (half of the bottle for 0.75 liter of the varnish, protectant). Before mixing the whole volume of the product, it is necessary to make a trial tinting and apply a small volume of the product on a testing area, and make sure that the decorative look is acceptable;
- for textured products (plasters, stuccos, decorative coatings) – up to 5%;
- for Venetian plaster – up to 10%.
Pay attention that adding pigment concentrate can change the technical data of paint products.
To tint lime whitewashing, it is necessary to dilute the colorant in water, and then add the mixture, thoroughly mixing and slowly adding the lime whitewashing.
Adding the pigment concentrate to the products of other manufacturers, we recommend testing the mixing of the products in small quantities. All visible defects of the product, like clots, particles, and other deviations, an acute change of viscosity or gelation of the product, are not allowed.
Pigment concentrates Farbex color can be mixed in every ratio, without violating maximal dozing.

Wash tools with water and detergents after you finish the work. Do not let them get dry.
