Application instruction

1. Surface preparation

Prepare the surface according to DSTU - N B A.3.1-23:2013, DSTU - N B V.2.6-33:2018. The surface shall be dry, thoroughly cleaned of loose coats, dust, mud, oil, grease and other dirt. Defects of the surface shall be coated with plaster. Highly absorbing surfaces shall be treated with deep-penetrating primer TM "Farbex". Undercoated surfaces or surfaces with low absorbing properties shall be treated with Universal Paint-primer TM "Farbex".

Before applying a protective reinforcing coat, it is necessary to fix insulating boards with screw plugs. Defects of the surface shall be sandpapered in 72 hours after gluing of styrene foam boards.

Mineral boards shall not be sandpapered.

It is recommended to check the reliability of fixing with breaking away of the samples of board (15*15 cm) from the surface.

2. Performing of application

The adhesive mix shall be stirred manually or with a machine till homogeneous consistency. Repeat stirring in 5 minutes and after that the mix can be used during 3 hours.

Application shall be performed at the temperature of the surface from + 5 °С till + 30 °С. After application the mix shall be protected against quick-drying, frost and rain. All directions are effective if the temperature of the surface is + 20 °С and relative air humidity is 60%. Apply the adhesive mix with a line of 4-5 cm on the edges of insulating boards for gluing. In the middle of the board make 6-8 spots minimum 1 cm high and 10 cm in diameter. It allows further leveling of the boards on the surface correspondingly. Area coated with the mix shall cover minimum of 40% of the total area of the board.

Apply the adhesive mix on the whole surface with a notched trowel with the size of the notch of 8*8 mm or 10*10 mm if the surface is flat. The mix shall not be applied on the edges of the boards, extra mix shall be removed. Head joints shall be applied in a cross manner. The width of the joints shall be maximum of 2 mm.

It is recommended to make a thin contact coat on the edges of the mineral and polystyrene foam boards in prior on the places, where the spots with the mix will be formed. It makes work with the boards and their assembling significantly easier.

Apply reinforcing coat of the plaster only in 72 hours after gluing of the boards. A thin layer of the mix is applied with a flat side of the trowel. Form notches with the notched side of the trowel. A fiberglass net is pushed into applied mix and the surface is made flat with a flat trowel. The net shall be inside the coat and its pattern shall not be seen on the surface. The net is set with 2 sheets simultaneously from up down with the overlapping of 10 cm. Defected areas shall be thoroughly sandpapered.

Apply Paint-primer TM "Farbex" on the reinforcing coat in 48 hours and after that apply decorative coating in 48 hours.

The instrument shall be thoroughly washed with water after application.

The manufacturer is not responsible for the incorrect use of the product and if it is applied out of accordance with the present directions.
