Application instruction

1. Surface preparation
Metal surfaces:
new ones - clean of dust, dirt and then degrease.
previously coated ones - clean the surface of peeled paint product and also weak coats till hard base surface in a mechanical (a scraper, a wire brush), thermal (a hot air dryer, infrared radiation) or chemical (paint removing products) way. Clean thoroughly corrosion from the surface with a wire brush or sandpaper. Surfaces, previously coated with oil or alkyd paint shall be sandpapered and then degreased for better adhesion.
Wooden surfaces:
new ones - clean of dust and dirt.
previously coated and old ones - clean of peeled paint products and loose coats till the hard base surface in mechanical (a scraper, a wire brush), thermal (a hot air dryer, infrared radiation) or chemical (paint removing products) way. Avoid cleaning methods that can damage timber (e.g. sandblast apparatus). Hollows, existing on the surface, cracks or damaged areas shall be corrected with Putty for wooden and mineral surfaces TM Farbex. The surface, which was plastered, shall be polished till the smooth surface. Then remove abrasive dust.
2. Priming
Clean metal surfaces thoroughly of corrosion and undercoat with Primer PF-010M TM Delfi.
Undercoat wooden surfaces with wood protective primer TM Maxima. Make sure that the wooden surface is clean and completely dry before applying the primer.
Previously uncoated concrete surfaces shall be undercoated with the mixture of enamel and solvent at the ratio of 1:1.
3. Applying of finishing layer
Stir the enamel thoroughly till homogeneous condition. Dilute it with a solvent till working viscosity if necessary. Use one batch of the product for the finishing coat to avoid deviation in shades of the color. If there is a product of different batches it is necessary to mix it.
ADVICE: For more quality paint coating it is recommended to apply 1-2 thin coats of the paint product than 1 thick coat! A subsequent coat shall be applied not before 24 hours. It is recommended to apply a coat of alkyd varnish ТМ "Delfi" to prolong life period of the coating. Perform the application at the temperature of air and the surface from +10 ºС till +35 ºС and relative air humidity less than 80%. Do not apply the enamel under direct sunlight, strong wind and precipitations. The coating shall not be affected by precipitation during 24 hours after application. Complete hardening of the surface and achieving of its properties happen in 14 days.
4. Tool cleaning
Clean tools with a solvent and then with warm water with detergents if necessary.
