Specification

It creates weafproof coating. It is resistant to detergents affects. It has high final hardness, flexability and longlasting film. It imphasizes wood fibres and saves its natural look. It dries quickly.

Sphere of application

Water-based acrylic polyurethane parquett varnish is intended for decorative and protective coating of parquett and wooden floors with high mechanic loading. It is also applied on stairs, furniture, window frames, doors and other wooden surfaces indoors.

Application instruction

Preliminary preparation

The surface under application  shall be dry (max. Humidity 20%), thoroughly cleaned from dirt, grease, dust, blue stain, destruction, old paint. Dirty surface is recommended to be cleaned with dry brush. Mould and plants shall be removed mechanically (with a scraper or a wire brush). Then treat the surface with Antiseptic for wooden surfaces TM Farbex.

Remove resin mechanically at the places of knots.

To receive smooth surface without visible places of old coatings (paint or varnish), they shall be totally removed from the surface mechanically (by a scratcher, a floor scrubber), thermally (by hot fan,  infra-red rays) or chemically (paint removing treatments).

It is recommended to avoid methods of cleaning which can damage wood fibers (for example, sand blast apparatus).

Defected surfaces (holes, cracks, etc.) shall be filled with a putty for parquet with a suitable color and then sandpaper filled places.

Sandpapering is performed in two steps. At first the surface is sandpapered with coarse-grained abrasive paper and then finishing with fine-grained abrasive paper.

After all preparations the dust shall be removed. It is also recommended to clean the room from dust. (foot stalls, windows, radiators and other elements of interior).

Priming

Previously coated wooden surfaces don’t require undercoating.

Previously non-coated wooden surfaces shall be undercoated.

Before undercoating, check for sure that the surface is clean and completely dry.

For maximal protective effect and even color new or cleaned of old coatings wooden surfaces shall be undercoated with Acrylic primer for wood TM Maxima.

Edges of wooden surfaces shall be treated more carefully until complete penetration.

Applying of finishing layer

Before applying of finishing coating, check for sure that undercoated surface is dry enough.

The varnish is ready to use. If it is necessary dilute it with water (max. 10% of the total weight of the product). Stir varnish thoroughly before application.

Apply 2-3 layers with interoperational polishing. The next layer shall be applied only in 4 hour. Complete hardening of the coating and achievement of all its properties is in 14 days.

Application shall be performed at the temperature of air and surface from +10ºС till +30ºС and relative air humidity max. 80%.

Tool cleaning
Rinse the tools thoroughly after application.
