Mattlatex Latex paint Farbex

Latex paint

It provides increased abrasing resistance of the coated surface. It is resistant to intensive repeated washing (resistance to wet abrasion - 1st class according to DSTU EN 13300). Resistant to weathering and moisture. It provides high surface permeability (according to DSTU EN 1062). It creates a matt finishing coat that completely allows the walls to breathe. It effectively covers microcracks on the coated surface. It has a high application rate. It is easy to apply. It does not run and spray during application. It is tinted with waterborne pastes "Farbex Color" or with a tinting machine according to NCS color rate.

Sphere of application

It is intended for interior mineral surfaces ( mortar and lime mortar
plasters, filler, brick, concrete), gypsum, wooden and ligneous materials, wallpapers and fiberglass wallpapers as well as for facades of buildings.

It is recommended for walls and ceilings in dry and wet spaces with high exploitation load and also for surfaces which require high wear-proof and washability (office and living spaces, hotels, restaurants, shops, medical, kindergarten and educational establishments, public buildings), and also for coating of facades of livings, industrial, administrative, commercial, storing, other buildings.

Application instruction

Surface preparation

Non-coated surface: Clean it from loose coatings, dust, oil, grease and other dirt. Use warm water for cleaning. For very dirty surfaces it is allowed to use special detergents.

Previously coated surface: Clean thoroughly the surface from old loose coatings (paint or varnish) manually with a wire brush or a scraper, thermally with a hot air dryer, infrared radiation or chemically with paint removing products. Chalk and lime-chalk coatings shall be removed till hard surface mechanically. The surface shall be cleaned from different dirt. Surfaces, previously coated with alkyd or oil enamel, shall be sandpapered. After that, treat the surface as a non-coated one.

Small defects of mineral surface shall be corrected with Finishing Putty TM Farbex. Treat corrected areas with sandpaper after.

It is recommended to treat the surface with Antiseptic product TM Farbex for protection against mould and fungi.

Previously coated wooden surfaces do not require undercoating.

Previously non-treated absorbing mineral surfaces shall be undercoated with acrylic deep-penetrating primer concentrate Super Base 1:4 TM Farbex. Dilute the primer concentrate according to the type of the surface (see the application manual for primer).

Stir thoroughly the product before application and dilute it with water if it's necessary (up to 10% of the total weight). Abnormal dilution lessens the quality of the coating! Application shall be performed at the temperature from + 5 °С till + 35 °С. Apply the paint with 1-2 layers with a brush, a roller or a spraying gun.

Tool cleaning

Clean tools with water after application. Do not let them dry. Spots of dry paint shall be removed mechanically.

Consumption standard of 1 layer

When calculating the area to be painted, you need to subtract the area that will not be painted. (windows, doors, etc.)

Paint consumption may vary depending on dilution and uniformity of application of the paint.
